Peter reaches for mini Reese's cups. Of course he knows Balthier only got them for him. And he's always running too fast, metabolically speaking, so he doesn't make any show about politely refusing.
"It's good to see you, too. You, uh, doing okay? Things got pretty wildly out of control here for, like, months. Or…actually I'm a little fuzzy? I was in other worlds for several months but time didn't pass the same here." Thinking about it makes him mentally dizzy.
He nods to the question. "Quieter than it was for awhile. I wasn't gone as long as you" and he does his best not to wince; that sounds miserable. "It's been rough on David, but neither of us can move easily. Speaking of, I have something for you."
He crosses over to the entrance table, retrieving something from the drawer and coming back. There are a few to choose from, a nondescript ring, a wallet, a coin with a star stamped on it. "They're magicked to cast a low grade illusion spell around you -- just enough to make you nondescript and hard to remember details about. David and I are carrying them. They don't affect people who know you well, or if you do something extremely attention-grabbing. Take one for Otto, too."
Peter has mixed feelings about the whole other worlds thing. "I dunno. I mean, it was kinda cool? Except for that nightmare place that was covered in blood. That was not cool. The underwater city would have been cool if it wasn't so much like a survival horror game but in real life."
He shrugs. Weird shit is just par for the course these days.
He looks at the charmed objects with wide eyes.
"Whoa, really? Thanks. Can I...take one for Pete too? He's me, I mean, from another world. Younger me." Hence the desire to protect him, though really Peter would do it for any friend. He picks the coin for himself and the wallet for Otto. Charmed wallet is the perfect thing to give your once enemy now dad figure, right?
"I, uh...wanted to tell you something, actually. I kinda sorta maybe decided to join a guild after all the wild stuff going on in Excelsior."
